The recent partnership with Albertson Companies and the 1,200 grocery stores it owns empowered a vast expansion. Raj Beri-Uber’s Global Head of Grocery and New Verticals says “This past year has been one of incredible growth for grocery delivery” -That might be the ignition factor!

 

3. Triller extends app focus to long-form video

Triller-A music video app that allows the users to record a video for the selected song snippet. But it is not exactly the same as TikTok. Triller now focuses on more immersive, long-form video content uniting influencers and brands. Triller introduced click-to-purchase tools and hosted live streaming of Essence Festival of Culture to highlight the efforts. 

 

4. Ridesharing apps download recover

Ridesharing apps like Uber and Lyft experienced a recovery in download rate with the end of lockdown in the US. Uber eats saw the best download rate (67%) during the early pandemic as the lockdown pushed people to order food from home. By the end of lockdown in the US, Uber Eats downloads dropped to around 36%.
