The Challenge

Chicago Van Rentals needed a website that could present its rental offering clearly and give visitors a straightforward path from browsing to getting in touch or reserving a vehicle. For a rental business, the site has to do practical work. Customers need to understand what is available, compare options and act quickly. The business, in turn, needs a platform it can keep current without friction.

Our Approach

We treated the site as both a public storefront and a working tool for the business. That meant pairing a fast, responsive front end with a structured back end that could hold vehicle and enquiry data reliably. We built on a modern JavaScript stack end to end so the interface and server logic share a common language, which keeps development and future changes efficient. We also included the AI models ChatGPT and Claude in the stack to support the project alongside the core web technologies. The goal throughout was a clean, dependable site that works well on any device and can grow with the business.

What We Built

  • A responsive home page that introduces the business and directs visitors to its rental options
  • Van listing pages that present the available vehicles in a clear, browsable layout
  • A rental enquiry and booking flow that guides customers toward making a request
  • A contact page so customers can reach the business directly
  • A server-side application and database layer for managing site data
  • A consistent, mobile-friendly design system applied across every page

More about this project

Technology

ReactJS gives the site a responsive, component-based interface, so listings, forms and page sections can be reused and updated consistently. Tailwind CSS keeps the styling lean and uniform, which makes the design easy to maintain and adapt across screen sizes. On the server, Node.js with the NestJS framework provides a structured, modular back end that suits a business handling vehicles and customer requests, with clear separation between features as the platform expands. PostgreSQL is a dependable relational database for structured data such as vehicle details and enquiries, where consistency matters. ChatGPT and Claude round out the stack, bringing AI capability into the project. Together, these tools give Chicago Van Rentals a site that is quick to use and simple to extend as its needs change. The site went live in 2026 at chicagovanrentals.com.
